Finally sharing some pictures

So I have finally sorted through MOST of my pictures here and I figured I should share some of them with you all. I will try to keep them in chronological order but no guarantees!

This is a picture of John in the gun turret on our MRAP (Mine Resistant Ambush Protected) truck. I feel pretty safe in one of these trucks.

Here are some of the Afghan National Army soldiers that we work with. Most of them are pretty dedicated to what they do. Unfortunately this is the only organization in the Afghan government that works well.

Here I am in the mountains at elevation 9500 feet. It is a lot of work to get there with all of that stuff on, but the view is defiantly worth it.

This is a regular thing to see no matter where you are in Afghanistan. Unfortunately this particular blackhawk carries a Command Sergeant Major whose job is to give enlisted guys trouble.

This is a 500 kg bomb that was left here from when the Russians were here. This thing was buried in the road waiting to blow up a truck with one of us in it. One of my team members can take the credit for finding this thing.

Here are some of the pictures that I took on leave. These are the ones that I keep up on my computer to look at every day.

This is my beautiful wife. I think she is saying something profound but I was too mesmerized by her beauty I didn't hear what she was saying.

Jake is getting so big and can do lots of things like ninja moves and swing with his legs over his head. I can't believe how big he is getting.

Adalaide is getting so big and so smart all at the same time, I guess that is what happens when one-year-olds turn two. I think she knows that I am wrapped around her little pinky finger.
